EPA Hourly air quality for Melbourne in 2008

Inspired by the bush fires in Victoria earlier this year, Flink Weather is a data visualisation that explores the relationship between air quality in the city and the temperature, wind and humidity.

Showing the air quality readings over 2008 the viewer sees a wax and wane as if the city is almost breathing. The weather dashboard shows moving sparklines to help identify key relationships between the data measures.

Unfortunately, the zip files on the site that contain the application seem corrupted for me. Possibly Mac-only?

The built in Windows zip support couldn’t extract them.

This site may also end up failing the no-promotion rules, as it’s done as a page inside a design agency’s site, promoting itself.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the .zip file. We’ll check that out.
