Climate change is now widely recognized as the major environmental problem facing the globe. It is our duty as Australian citizens to understand consequences of environmental damage and do everything possible to become a “green” society. This will bring greener sustainable future for ourselves and our kids.

Our website is aimed to rise awareness of the climate change in state Victoria. Therefore name “Green Victoria” speaks for itself. Green government initiatives such as roadside cleanup and solar hot water systems installations are also part of this solution. List of major functionalities is outlined below:

  • Read latest environment news;
  • Check water consumption for Melbourne suburbs;
  • Check solar hot water usage and carbon emissins in Victoria;
  • View custom reports;
  • Check roadside cleanup data;
  • View you carbon footprint based on your travel habbits, electricity bill, recycling;
  • Search and compare “smart” retailers to buy environmental friendly appliances;
  • Search nearest recycling facilities;

Become a responsible citizen now!

    I wonder why rating is even used. It is completely unfair. Everybody gets either 1 or 5 depending on whether person who gives you rating is your friend or a competitor.

    There’s a ton of functionality on this site, and much is really useful.

    Unfortunately, the site does seem to lack a certain technical thoroughness. The suburb ratings are shown as points, rather than shapes. And it doesn’t appear to control for population, although I’m not sure how easy that is during intercensal periods, so maybe that’s just to be expected. I also got some flash weirdities with Firefox, so I think the site probably needs a round of browser compatibility testing.

    Some smaller notes, the advertising bar at the top rotates so fast there’s no time to read the things in it.

    Awesome job though, with a great design.

    This website has a lot of functionality. You could probably improve on data coverage, but I guess it is related to limitied data given.

    Overall, very neat and useful website, which would have a lot of value to Victorians. Good work.

      Oleg I agree, I just bought a water saving washing machine by using the “Find Goods” link.

        Hi. Thank you all for your feedback. Good to see that people actualy go in and look at the website and not just give a batch vote of 1′s to pull us down.
