A tag cloud which represents the descriptions of Mildenhall’s photographs as provided by the National Archives of Australia. Each word is sized according to the frequency of occurence in the archive descriptions. Clicking on the tag displays a gallery of related images.
By displaying the information in a cloud as opposed to a tradtional search, the user is able to visualise the contents of the collection without any prior knowledge, making the collection more accessible.

LOL – I looked up the Anzac picture and read it… “Anzac park, Retirement house…”
I think you mean parliament house, but I’m glad the search funcionality is working.
This is very interesting. The one thing that it lacks is proper referencing (ie: Series and item number) back to the National Archives collection.
Nice work, but yes by omitting reference details you’ve stripped the images of some important context. It would be great if you could include a proper citation for each image in the form —

Persistent links into the RecordSearch database can be constructed using the item’s barcode:

Thanks guys – this has been added now.

Fantastic! Now it’s an interface to RecordSearch as well.
